Close up of the air shaft located east of 15th Road. It is different from the air shafts at Shay1 in that it is close to the ground and difficult to see. Air that smells of sulfur can be seen billowing out of the shaft.
Long shot from 9th Avenue. Brush has been cleared, ditching and tiling has begun.
The water accumulated in the low areas. The source is unsure but trenching began immediately.
Several large pieces of earth moving equipment were moved in to clear vegetation, trench and install tile that will move the standing water to the south to 9th avenue.
