After over 5 years of fighting the Deer Run Mine in Hillsboro, IL and raising awareness about the harmful effects of the coal life cycle on our communities, Citizens Against Longwall Mining has decided to take it’s struggle online!

Here you’ll find everything there is to know about Deer Run, as well as information about longwall mining and coal waste (slurry, ash, gob and the like) in central Illinois.
